THE STRATEGY

How to use this ranking.

Trade value tracks two things — how scarce a pet is and how useful its ability stays over time — and this list ranks by the community trade reference figures in our database. That is why the Ice Serpent leads at around 20,000,000 Sheckles: it is both hard to get and always useful as the premier defender. The Raccoon (about 5,000,000) and the income pets, the Unicorn (around 4,000,000) and Golden Dragonfly (around 3,000,000), follow because their abilities stay relevant deep into the late game.

Read these as bargaining anchors rather than fixed prices. A pet's rarity source tells you how far it should sit above the pack — the Raccoon's ~0.2% Common Egg hatch keeps it scarce, while the Golden Dragonfly is a common stepping stone and so trades steadily below the Unicorn tier. Before you accept any swap, weigh what the pet does for your specific build, not just its headline number, and never overpay for a pet you can hatch yourself cheaply.

The honest caveat is that these figures are community estimates that shift with every patch and rebalance — a new egg or ability tweak can move a whole tier overnight. Treat the ranking as a snapshot, check how each number is sourced on our /methodology page, and confirm the current /values list before you commit to a trade.
