BEST PETS FOR STEALING IN GAG2

Raid unguarded gardens faster and carry more. Ranked from the GAG2 Calculator database — real values, honest reasoning.

Night-time stealing is GAG2's signature mechanic. The right pets turn raiding into a genuine income stream — get in, grab crops, and get out before a defender reacts.

THE STRATEGY

How to use this ranking.

Stealing is GAG2's offensive income route, and this list is built around one hard truth: only the Raccoon actually enables a steal, so it sits at the top by default. Everything below it is a support pet that makes a raid faster, safer or more profitable — a mobility buff, extra sight, more carry capacity. The ranking therefore reads as a loadout rather than a set of alternatives; you are not choosing between these pets, you are stacking them.

In practice, take the Raccoon out at night to lift fruit from empty or offline plots while its +25 steal cap lets you carry a bigger haul. Pair it with a Bunny for the +5 walk speed that keeps you ahead of a defender, a Turtle for the +10 backpack so you make fewer trips per raid, and an Owl for night sight lines. An Invisibility Mushroom on top turns the whole run into a quick in-and-out.

Be honest about the risk: raiding is situational income, not a steady wage. Defended plots, Werewolf Nights and a returning owner can end a run instantly, and the Raccoon itself is a rare ~0.2% Common Egg hatch. Treat stealing as a supplement to a growing garden rather than a replacement for one, and check any pet trade you make against the /values list first.
