BEST INCOME PETS IN GAG2
Pets that multiply your mutation earnings. Ranked from the GAG2 Calculator database — real values, honest reasoning.
Income pets multiply the value of your best crops instead of adding a flat bonus, so they only get stronger as your garden improves. Build toward these to compound your Sheckle-per-hour.
Unicorn4M value
Doubles your Rainbow mutation chance — Rainbow being the strongest evergreen multiplier — so it stacks directly into your biggest routine sales. The end-goal income pet.
Golden Dragonfly3M value
Doubles Gold-roll chance and costs far less than a Unicorn; the standard first income investment for a steady uplift on everyday harvests.
Deer50K value
10% faster plant growth (20% as a Big variant) across the whole plot — more harvests per hour is exactly what a developing economy needs.
Monkey1M value
Auto-gathers ripe fruit on large multi-harvest plots, turning wasted walking time into more effective harvesting.
By the numbers — trade value compared
How to use this ranking.
Income pets are ranked by how much of your best sales they touch, because these abilities multiply value rather than adding a flat bonus — they only get stronger as your garden improves. That is the whole logic of the order: the Unicorn doubles your chance at Rainbow, the strongest evergreen mutation at ×30, so it stacks straight into your biggest routine sales; the Golden Dragonfly doubles Gold, the ×10 everyday multiplier; the Deer speeds every plant's growth by 10% (20% as a Big variant); and the Monkey saves harvesting time on a large plot.
Build toward them in cost order. The Deer is the smart opening hatch — realistic at 20% from the Common Egg and a huge 60% from the Epic Egg — and its plot-wide growth boost compounds from day one. The Golden Dragonfly is the standard next step at around 3,000,000 Sheckles, giving a reliable uplift long before you can afford a Unicorn. The Unicorn is the end goal, and the Epic Egg's 30% rate is by far the fastest route to one if you can earn the egg.
The caveat worth stating plainly: a mutation-chance pet only pays if you are actually rolling mutations on high-base, multi-harvest crops. A Unicorn over a plot of starter greens does very little. Pair these pets with the crops from the money list, and use /calculator to see exactly what doubling a mutation chance does to your Sheckle-per-hour before you commit the grind.
