Overview
Introduced in the Fall Harvest Update. Harvested plants have a chance to receive Veil when a Shadow Dragon pet is flying around your garden — the first pet-applied mutation, rather than a weather roll. Its ×50 value is still subject to balancing.
Veil is a Event mutation worth a ×50 multiplier on a crop's weight-scaled value. In GAG2 a crop only ever holds one mutation, so Veil either is or is not on the card — it never combines with another multiplier.
How to get it

- Stay online during and harvest while it is active — the mutation rolls at harvest.
- Have your highest-base, heaviest crop ready to harvest the moment the weather hits.
- Event weather is rarer than daily weather, so protect the result before a thief takes it.

Veil in depth
Veil is unusual: it matches Starstruck at ×50 but is the first pet-applied mutation, introduced in the Fall Harvest Update. Instead of waiting on weather, you roll a chance at Veil on harvested plants whenever a Shadow Dragon pet is flying around your garden. That changes the economics entirely, giving you a high multiplier you can pursue on your own schedule as long as you own the pet, rather than one gated behind a random sky event.
Because it is tied to a pet rather than a weather window, Veil rewards a settled, always-on farm: keep the Shadow Dragon active and harvest your high-base multi-harvest crops regularly to fish for the roll. As with all mutations, single-harvest crops dampen the effect heavily, so point the Shadow Dragon at a plot of Moon Bloom, Sun Bloom or Poison Apple rather than Mushrooms. One honest caveat: Veil is newer than most mutations and its ×50 value is still being balanced, so treat the figure as a datamined reference that may shift. Check the calculator for current numbers.
