Aurora
Overview
A night-weather mutation with a strong multiplier. Rarer than the daytime weathers, so worth staying online for.
Aurora is a Weather mutation worth a ×40 multiplier on a crop's weight-scaled value. In GAG2 a crop only ever holds one mutation, so Aurora either is or is not on the card — it never combines with another multiplier.
How to get it
Source: Aurora Borealis weather, which triggers during the Aurora weather event. Chance: Weather roll.
- Stay online during Aurora and harvest while it is active — the mutation rolls at harvest.
- Have your highest-base, heaviest crop ready to harvest the moment the weather hits.
- Event weather is rarer than daily weather, so protect the result before a thief takes it.
What it's worth
Example on a 5 kg Moon Bloom: a normal crop sells for about 225K, while a Aurora one sells for roughly 9M — a 40× jump. Put your own crop and weight into the calculator to see exact numbers.
Aurora in depth
Aurora lifts you into the ×40 bracket, a clear jump above the everyday weather rolls and past even Rainbow. It triggers during the Aurora Borealis, a night-time weather that is rarer than the daytime storms, which is exactly why it is worth staying online for: the payoff per harvest is materially higher than anything Gold, Frozen or Electric can offer. It is the best multiplier most players can reach before the true event mutations, and a strong reason to keep playing after dark.
Being a night event, Aurora comes with a catch: darkness is when gardens get raided, so preparation and defence matter as much as the roll itself. Have your heaviest multi-harvest crops ripe before the sky changes, harvest promptly, and get the result to the Sell Stand or behind a defender quickly. As always, favour high-base multi-harvest plants over single-harvest ones, whose mutation bonus is heavily dampened. Use the calculator to confirm an Aurora sale clears your target before you risk holding the crop overnight for something rarer.
