Shadow Dragon in depth
The Shadow Dragon is the headline pet of the Fall Harvest Update and the rarest thing in the event world. Its ability is a genuine first for Grow a Garden 2: while it flies over your plot, harvested crops have a chance to receive the Veil mutation for a roughly ×50 value bonus. Every other big multiplier in the game is gated behind a random weather event — the Shadow Dragon is the first pet that rolls a top-tier mutation on your own schedule.
That makes it the best earner in the Fall Harvest World for a settled, always-on farm: keep it active and harvest high-base multi-harvest crops to fish for Veil, and steer it away from single-harvest crops that dampen the bonus. It is earned through the Fall Egg, the Cornucopia questline or a rare spawn, all tied to the seasonal Leaves currency. Community trade values are not established yet, so treat it as a top-tier income pet on ability alone rather than a known price.
