FALL HARVEST WORLD

A SECOND GARDEN, FOR THE SEASON.

The biggest update since launch: a whole separate Fall Harvest World with its own Leaves currency, eight new pets, the first pet-applied mutation, and Werewolf Nights. Here is everything in it.

The Fall Harvest Update, live on August 2, 2026, is the largest content drop Grow a Garden 2 has shipped since launch. Its centrepiece is an entirely separate Fall Harvest World, reached through the new NPC Ethan, that runs on its own seasonal Leaves currency and a sequential Cornucopia questline handed out by the Pilgrim NPC — effectively a second garden layered on top of the main game. The two economies are deliberately bridged in one direction: Magic Mail — sold in Rare, Legendary and Super tiers — lets you send items you earn in the event world back to your Garden Valley plot, so seasonal gains are not lost when the world closes. The launch also doubled as a party — the update kicked off the Admin Party format, the successor to the old Admin Abuse live events, with developers dropping in to run limited happenings alongside the season. Those live events carry their own chase reward: participants can receive an Admin Chest, which holds a roughly 1-in-5,000 shot at the Mythic Jandel Monkey, a pet that periodically summons a random weather event over your garden.

Mechanically it introduces two firsts. The Veil mutation is the game's first pet-applied mutation: a Shadow Dragon flying over your plot has a chance to Veil harvested crops for a roughly ×50 value bonus, sidestepping the weather-roll model entirely. And Werewolf Nights turn one random player per server into a faster, stealing werewolf each night — hit the werewolf with a shovel and the curse (and the speed) passes to you. Eight new pets, a wave of Maple crop variants, the Secret-tier Amber Cranberry and Conifer Cone seeds, and new gear (The Harp, Bull Horn, Wind Staff) round out the patch. The event world also stocks Syrup Sprinkler and Super Syrup Sprinkler variants — functionally mirrors of the regular sprinkler line, with exact stats still undocumented — and four cosmetic prop crates (Lantern, Fall Cosmetic, Cobblestone and Fall Structure) for decorating the seasonal plot.

A second new mutation, Amber (~×20), also arrived with the event: community reports tie its roll to the event's amber-sap crops, most consistently Honeysuckle. The event itself is seasonal — it went live on August 2, 2026 and is expected to run for roughly 60 days, closing around early October 2026, so seasonal-exclusive pets and seeds should be prioritised while the world is open.

NEW MECHANIC

Veil — the first pet-applied mutation.

×50 value

Veil ties with Starstruck near the top of the multiplier ladder — a genuine payday mutation you can chase without a rare weather event.

Rolled by a pet, not the sky

Introduced in the Fall Harvest Update. Harvested plants have a chance to receive Veil when a Shadow Dragon pet is flying around your garden — the first pet-applied mutation, rather than a weather roll. Its ×50 value is still subject to balancing.

Farm it on multi-harvest crops

Single-harvest crops dampen the bonus, so point your Shadow Dragon at Moon Bloom, Sun Bloom or Poison Apple — not Mushrooms.

Amber — the event's other mutation

The Fall Harvest also added Amber (~×20), rolled on the event's amber-sap crops — community reports point most consistently to Honeysuckle as the source plant.

NIGHT EVENTS

Werewolf Nights & the Harvest Moon.

The event world runs its own night cycle on top of the base game's stealing meta.

FAQ

Fall Harvest questions

How do you get to the Fall Harvest World in Grow a Garden 2?
Talk to the new NPC Ethan, who opens a portal to a separate Fall Harvest World layered on top of the main game. It runs on its own seasonal Leaves currency and a sequential Cornucopia questline handed out by the Pilgrim NPC — effectively a second garden with its own rewards.
What is the Veil mutation and how do you get it?
Veil is the game's first pet-applied mutation, worth roughly ×50. Instead of waiting on a weather roll, you have a chance to Veil harvested crops whenever a Shadow Dragon pet is flying over your plot. Keep the Shadow Dragon active and harvest high-base multi-harvest crops to fish for it. Its ×50 value is still being balanced.
How do Werewolf Nights work?
Each night one random player per server turns into a faster werewolf that can steal from gardens. Hit the werewolf with a shovel and the curse — and the extra speed — passes to you. Rare Harvest Moon nights can also appear during the Fall Harvest season.
Are the new Fall Harvest pets worth trading for?
The event added 8 pets — the Shadow Dragon (Veil mutation), Fox, Wolf, Swan, Squirrel, Turkey, Hedgehog and Dog. They are earned with Leaves in the event world, and community trade values are not yet established, so we show them as Unranked rather than guessing. The Shadow Dragon is the clear standout for its mutation ability.
When did the Fall Harvest Update release?
The Fall Harvest Update went live on Aug 2, 2026 — the largest content drop Grow a Garden 2 has shipped since launch.
Can you transfer items back from the Fall Harvest World?
Yes — one way. The Magic Mail system, sold in Rare, Legendary and Super tiers, lets you send items you earn in the Fall Harvest World back to your Garden Valley plot, so pets and rewards you grind with Leaves are not lost when the seasonal world closes. Mail back anything you want to keep before the event ends.
When does the Fall Harvest event end?
The Fall Harvest World is seasonal: it is expected to run for roughly 60 days from its August 2, 2026 launch, closing around early October 2026. No exact end date has been announced in-game, so prioritise the seasonal-exclusive pets and Secret seeds while the world is open.
