Carrot
Overview
The cheapest seed in the game and the first crop every player grows. Sell fast, keep plot space free, and reinvest into your first real income crop.
Carrot is a Common, single-harvest crop obtained from Seed Shop (always available). Its base sell value at 1 kg is 5 Sheckles — and because value scales with weight squared, growing it heavier is the single biggest lever on your profit.
Carrot in depth
Carrot is the cheapest seed in the game (1 Sheckle) and the first crop nearly every player grows. It is single-harvest and low value, so its only job is to get your very first income loop turning.
Sell Carrots fast, keep your plot free, and reinvest into a multi-harvest starter like Strawberry or Blueberry — and then Bamboo — as quickly as you can. Do not linger on Carrots; they are a launchpad, not a strategy.

- Buy the seed from seed shop (always available).
- Use higher-tier sprinklers to raise size luck — heavier crops are worth far more thanks to the weight-squared scaling.
- Being single-harvest, its mutation bonus is reduced — grow it heavy rather than relying on a huge mutation.
- Chase a high Rainbow or event mutation on it — see the full mutation list for what each multiplier is worth.
- Protect it before night — other players can steal crops from unguarded gardens.
