THE MECHANIC

Gardens are raidable at night.

Unlike the original game, GAG2 lets players enter other gardens and steal ripe crops — especially at night. This single change drives the entire pet and defense meta: every strong pet is either a raider, a defender, or a mobility tool for one of those jobs.

You are on both sides of this. When your crops are ripe and unguarded, they are a target. When someone else's are, they are income.

PLAY OFFENSE

Raid unguarded plots.

The engine of raiding is the Raccoon — it steals fruit from empty gardens and raises your steal cap by 25. Pair it with mobility so you can get in and out fast:

  • Bunny — +5 walk speed makes you hard to catch mid-raid.
  • Invisibility Mushroom — turn invisible to slip past defenders.
  • Hit gardens whose owners are offline or whose valuable rows sit on a straight, open path.
ETIQUETTE

Raiding is a core game feature, not an exploit — but read your server's vibe. Some players trade peacefully; others are all-out.

PLAY DEFENSE

Make your plot a nightmare to raid.

GAG2 Blood Moon

Good defense is layout plus pets plus discipline:

  • Break the path. Never leave a straight line from the entrance to your best crop. Use walls, fences and doors to force turns.
  • Guard the prize. Put a defensive plant (Venus Flytrap, Venom Spitter, Dragon's Breath) or a defense pet next to your highest-value row.
  • Harvest bait. If a huge fruit is advertising exactly where to raid, harvest and bank it before night.
PET LOADOUTS

Attack and defense are different jobs.

Do not confuse the two. Raid pets go out with you; defense pets stay home to guard.

  • Defenders: Ice Serpent (freezes thieves — the best), Black Dragon (burns), Bear (throws them out), Bee (affordable swarm).
  • Raiders / mobility: Raccoon, Bunny, plus invisibility and speed consumables.

Compare every pet's value and ability in the pet database, and check trades with the trade checker.
