Star Fruit
Overview
The single most expensive seed in GAG2. Prized as a Glow-mutation target — a glowing Star Fruit at high weight is a prestige sale. A true late-game money sink.
Star Fruit is a Super, multi-harvest crop obtained from Seed Shop (most expensive seed). Its base sell value at 1 kg is 6,200 Sheckles — and because value scales with weight squared, growing it heavier is the single biggest lever on your profit.
Star Fruit in depth
Star Fruit carries the most expensive seed price in Grow a Garden 2 at a staggering 315,000,000 Sheckles, which alone makes it an endgame flex. Its 6,200 base value is strong but not the highest — you are paying for prestige and for its identity as the premier Glow-mutation target.
A glowing, high-weight Star Fruit is one of the rarest sights in any garden and sells accordingly. If you are chasing it, make sure your income loop can absorb the seed cost without stalling your progression, and treat every Star Fruit as a crop to defend rather than gamble with. For most players it is a late-game trophy, not an efficiency buy.

- Buy the seed from seed shop (most expensive seed).
- Use higher-tier sprinklers to raise size luck — heavier crops are worth far more thanks to the weight-squared scaling.
- Being multi-harvest, it keeps producing, so it earns back a big mutation many times over.
- Chase a high Rainbow or event mutation on it — see the full mutation list for what each multiplier is worth.
- Protect it before night — other players can steal crops from unguarded gardens.
